Whitey's Boat Parade 2023

For the past two decades, Whitey's has joined forces with the local community to extend unwavering support to our cherished non-profit, SAFE—a no-kill animal shelter. This commitment was a source of immense pride for our late owner, Ann Ham. Through the years, our contribution to The Safe Animal Shelter has steadily grown, now constituting nearly 10% of their crucial income!

**Know Before You Go! What To Expect:**

This annual event draws sizable crowds, and to make the most of the experience, thoughtful planning is key!

**Getting There + Parking:**

- Whitey's parking lot fills up rapidly. At 5 PM, police officers will guide traffic to our overflow parking lot at Swimming Pen Elementary School (0.4 miles away). Upon parking, choose between a complimentary shuttle (don't forget to tip the driver!) or embark on a brief 10-minute stroll back to Whitey's.

- To streamline traffic flow, the turning lane into Whitey's will be closed. **Please note that this might cause delays!**

- Follow posted signage and adhere to police instructions.

**Before The Event:**

- The tiki bar side will be closed until 3 PM for event setup.

- Explore Whitey's premises, offering a plethora of activities!

  - Live Music

  - DJ Performances

  - Vendor Booths

  - A MASSIVE Raffle boasting nearly $5,000 in prizes! (Purchase your tickets at Whitey's starting November; the drawing occurs that night!)

  - Numerous silent auction and raffle items, a significant source of donations for Safe! YOUR PARTICIPATION IS CRUCIAL!

**During The Event:**

- Boats set sail down the creek around 6:30 PM.

- Ample standing room is available along the property's bank, closest to the boat ramp. The bridge also provides an excellent vantage point.

- For those desiring a premium water-front table in our tiki bar, reservations must be made ahead of time. These tables incur a fee, all of which goes to SAFE Animal Shelter.

- Regular diners, kindly vacate your table within 2 hours to ensure everyone catches a glimpse of the Boat Parade!

- Boat Parade winners will be selected and announced that night!

- Please anticipate extended wait times for food and drinks due to high volume. Rest assured, our staff is working diligently to guarantee you the best experience!

**After The Event Ends:**

- Stay to witness the announcement of winners, starting with 1st Place!

- Live Music on the Main Stage kicks off at 8 PM.

- If you participated in our Charity Raffle, keep your phone close; we'll be calling the winners that night!

- Winners of silent auctions or other raffles will receive follow-up calls in the days to come.

- Police officers will oversee traffic until 9 PM.

- The shuttle will continue running until 10 PM.
